A 3 Days 2 Night Trip To Pangkor Island

Pangkor Island is known for its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and fresh seafood. This itinerary balances relaxation, exploration, and good food.

Travel Considerations:

  • Getting There:

    • Driving to Lumut Jetty: You'll drive to Lumut Jetty in Perak. The journey from Kuala Lumpur, will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on traffic.

    • Ferry to Pangkor Island: From Lumut Jetty, you'll take a ferry to Pangkor Island. Ferries run frequently (roughly every 30-45 minutes) from early morning until late evening. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. You can choose to alight at Pangkor Town Jetty or Sungai Pinang Kecil Jetty, depending on your accommodation's location.

  • Getting Around Pangkor Island:

    • Pink Taxis/Vans: These are the most common way to get around. They operate on a fixed-fare basis for different routes.

    • Rent a Scooter/Motorbike: If you're comfortable, this is a great way to explore at your own pace (around RM30-50 per day).

    • Bicycle Rental: Available at some resorts.

    • Walking: Possible for shorter distances within specific beach areas.

Accommodation:

  • Pangkor has a range of accommodations from budget guesthouses to more upscale resorts. Popular areas to stay include Pasir Bogak (livelier) and Teluk Nipah (more relaxed, popular with backpackers). I'll assume you're staying in one of these areas for the itinerary.
